Production of “Laundry and Bourbon” and “Lone Star” at Black Bart Theater, Murphys- 209-728-8422 24 April, 2009 Murphys Creek Theatre is going to the one-horse town of Maynard, Texas for two plays, "Laundry and Bourbon" and "Lone Star." * Parental Guidance Recommended The plays will be at Black Bart Playhouse in Murphys starting April 24th and playing every Friday, Saturday and Sunday until May 17th. The plays start at 8:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Matinees will play at 2:00 p.m. Sundays. Tickets cost $15 and are available at murphyscreektheatre.org or by calling 209-728-8422. 
Yes, can you believe it? Murphys will be the home of the 1st annual Calaveras International Film Festival. As a big supporter of the arts, Zucca is a proud sponsor of the festival. There are over 30 films, from 20 different countries. Several award winning, feature films, short films, animations, there is also an after hours festival for the racier pieces.
